BEACONS Project Focus

Enhance schools' structures and strategies at three levels of
PBS: school-wide, targeted
intervention and intensive support.

Emphasize early intervention, prevention, agency and family collaboration,
and cultural sensitivity.

Work with leadership teams at schools to implement evidence-based practices in
their region of the state, and have their schools serve as exemplars in a
statewide network of schools implementing
PBS.

Address recommendations of Washington State's Task
Force on Behavioral Disabilities [www.k12.wa.us].

Provide support to schools as they work on sustainability of
PBS practices.
